Free-mo Fitter Rail Tool
The Free-mo Fitter Rail Tool is really two tools. The fitter rail gap measuring tool (right) and fitter rail cutting guide (left). The standard tool (shown) is in 1/16 inch increments. If you want a tool in a different increment just ask and I will custom cut one for you at no additional cost.
I make the Fitter Rail Tool in with three different step sizes.

The tools is shipped as a kit, four pieces.
Assembly is really easy.
- Glue the handle into the gap measuring tool.
- Glue the two parts of the rail cutting guide together. The two pieces have two holes in them to insure they are aligned correctly. The holes are sized to accept a 6 X 32 machine screw. Use the fitter gap measuring tool to measure the rail gap between two modules.
To cut a piece of rail to length, hold the rail (foot down) in the correct grove in the rail cutting guide. Use a pair of rail snipers to cut the rail as close to the end as possible.
Free-mo Fitter Rail Box
The fitter rail box is designed to hold fitter rails by size. There are nine compartments designed to hold nine sizes of fitter rails. This matches the number of number of sizes that can be cut using the Free-mo fitter rail tool. The compartments are approximately 1" wide, 3" long and 1.5" tall. Large enough to get your finger into the compartment and get a fitter rail out. There is also a 3" wide, 10" long and 1.5" tall compartment for tools and other items you might want with you when installing fitter rails, like the fitter rail tool.
The Fitter Rail Box comes as a kit, assembly required.
