Custom Dice

We can make custom cut dice from your art work. We have a selection of colors available in 16mm (0.625") plastic dice.

• Black
• White
• Ivory
• Red
• Yellow
• Green
• Blue
• Translucent Blue
• Translucent Green
• Translucent Red

We also have 19mm (0.074") plastic dice in three colors.

• White
• Red
• Green

The dice are laser engraved. We do not fill the engraving on the dice. On the opaque dice, the laser engraving process leaves the engraved area "white". The translucent dice stay translucent in the engraved area. As you can see from the picture some of the colors work well without being filled. Other do not work as well (White and Ivory). Once you get the dice you can add paint to the voids to create a better contrast and make them easier to read. Here are basic instrcutions on how to color fill dice and tokens.

NOTE:

The most recent batches of black dice have been hit and miss, some of the dice turn white when engraved, some do not. I have not explanation as to what is happening.

We can also make custom wooden D6 dice. Wood is a natural material and there are variations in density. Engraving is on all six sides. Some Engraving is on side grain and some endgrain. This will cause some differences in the engraving from side to side. Wooden dice are also very light and do not roll as well as plastic dice. The Square Wooden blanks are available in 6 sizes:

• 0.375 (3/8")
• 0.50 (1/2")
• 0.625 (5/8")
• 0.75 (3/4")
• 0.875 (7/8")
• 1.00 (1")
• Other sizes are available, ask for more infomation.

Making dice is a very labor intensive process. I have to touch each die 7 times. Once to put it into the machine, five times to roll it from face to face, once to remove it from the machine. I have a jig that holds the dice. I engrave one face on each of six dice, then rotate them all to a new position then engrave them again. There is savings in doing six identical dice, this is why the price comes down to much from one dice to six or more.
