The board is made up of a four part base board and two sets of expanders. The board expands twice to fit all the scenarios. Below shows the three different options. On the left is the hex layout for the board. On the right shows the board.
- The red hexes are open spaces.
- The blue hexes represent the High Council and Home Planet hex.
- The black hexes represent the rest of the board.
